Equatorial Guinea’s vice-president has warned that civil servants who have sex in the office will face “severe measures” after hundreds of alleged pornographic videos were leaked to the public.
The videos reportedly involve senior civil servant Baltasar Ebang Engonga having sexual relations with multiple women in his office, including the wives of high-profile officials.
Mr Ngonga heads the country’s National Financial Investigation Agency and is a relative of the country’s president.
The BBC has asked him to comment.
Mr Ngonga posted on his Facebook page that he was sad and included a photo of him with a woman and children with the caption: “Family is everything”.
Vice President Teodoro Obiang Mangue said any official caught having sex on the job would be suspended as it was a “blatant violation of the code of conduct”.
He also ordered the installation of surveillance cameras in courts and ministries to combat “indecent and illegal behavior”.

It added that he recommended an investigation be launched.
State broadcaster TVGE said the footage was leaked after Ngonga was arrested on separate corruption charges.
Last week, Vice President Obiang said “pornographic videos” had “flooded” social media and ordered telecom companies to curb their spread.
People in Equatorial Guinea told AFP that the country’s internet traffic, especially image downloads, has since been severely disrupted.
As director of the National Financial Investigation Agency, Mr. Ngonga is committed to combating financial crimes such as money laundering.
After the uproar over the videos, Equatorial Guinea’s chief prosecutor, Anatolio Nzang Nguema, told state television that Mr Ngonga would be charged with endangerment if he was found to be “infected with a sexually transmitted disease” Prosecuted for “public health” offences.
He was reportedly nicknamed “Bello” (Spanish for “beautiful”) due to his handsome appearance.
