Ofcom has fined GB News £100,000 for breaching impartiality rules on a program featuring former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
He appeared on the TV channel on February 12, 2024, as part of a one-hour current affairs special, which included a question and answer session.
The media watchdog said he had been given “an undisputed platform to promote government policy and performance in the period leading up to the UK general election”.
Ofcom fined the amount after “repeated” breaches of its broadcasting regulations.
