Former Bolivian President Evo Morales said his vehicle was shot at on Sunday in what he claimed was an assassination attempt.
Video posted on social media showed Morales sitting in the passenger seat of a car as other passengers yelled at him to get out of the way. Two bullet holes were visible in the vehicle’s front windshield.
Morales’s Socialist Movement party said in a statement that the current government bears responsibility.
