Cameras have captured the moment two children were rescued from a car that was stuck in the path of an oncoming train. According to BBC America’s local partner CBS, the vehicle became stuck in rubble on the tracks in Redlands, California.
The female driver, off-duty San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Castaneda, ran to rescue the two children in the back seat. They were walking in the opposite direction with their children seconds before the train hit the SUV.
