An American singer has apologized for swearing during the playing of the US national anthem on live television.
Loomis sparked ridicule on social media Wednesday when she performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” during an independent candidate debate, which was broadcast live by television station C-SPAN.
She called the incident an “accident” on Instagram and told the Free and Equal Elections team, which organized the debate: “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to mess up the national anthem.”
