Former This Morning host Phillip Schofield has announced the death of his mother after a “heartbreaking weekend”.
“I will always be proud and honored that she was my mom. I will always love you, mom,” Schofield said.

The former TV presenter wrote that she died on Monday afternoon, calling her “calm, peaceful, beautiful and dignified.”

“After a heartbreaking weekend, my wonderful mom decided it was time to be with her beloved [husband] Brian,” he said.
