Strictly star Wayne Evans has spoken out about a “stupid joke that went wrong” between him and dance partner Katya Jones on Saturday’s show.
Viewers noticed some distinctly awkward moments between the two, with the dancer appearing to refuse a high-five and later removing her hands from her waist.
Evans told Radio Wales: “The reports about me on the last day have left me completely heartbroken.”
“Basically, Katya and I are really, really close… We had a stupid joke on Saturday night and it went wrong.
“I’m sorry if anyone was offended by this, but it was just a joke and that’s it – there was no real story. I felt weird apologizing because I felt like I hadn’t really done anything.”
